Introduction of academicians

Yang Qiye (1932～): Expert of oil refining technique of China, vice director of Experts Committee of Sinopec Engineering Incorporation (SEI), with domicile of origin in Zhenjiang City, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from oil refining engineering major of Beijing Institute of Petroleum in 1957. He has been engaged in oil refining technique design work for a long time. He successively designed and reviewed 102 sets of catalytic cracking unit, of which the economic benefit is prominent; he participated in key scientific and technical problems tackling work such as riser catalytic cracking, Daqing atmospheric residual and vacuum residue catalytic cracking and catalytic splitting, etc; continuously developed and applied new technology, new technique and new equipment for catalytic cracking unit and made important contribution for the development of catalytic cracking technology of China.

The Daqing atmospheric residual catalytic cracking technology obtained the First Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 1987; the catalytic cracking premixing and riser-efficient regeneration technology obtained the Third Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 1991; external cooler obtained the third prize of National Invention Award in 1994; petroleum heavy component catalytic cracking type (1) technique and catalyst for producing light olefin obtained the first prize of National Invention Award in 1995; the development and industrial application of complete set technology for Daqing vacuum residue catalytic cracking obtained the First Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2001.

He was granted with the title of “Expert of Prominent Contribution at National Level” by Ministry of Human Resources in 1990; granted with special national government allowance in 1991 and elected as academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1997.
