Sinopec Energy Management Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as ‘the company’), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Engineering (Group) Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as ‘SEG’), which was established in 1993 with a registered capital of 50 million RMB. The business field of the company focuses on energy performance contract (EPC), energy conservation engineering services, energy conservation technical consultation and services, energy conservation investment, and energy conservation policy realm research, etc. of the oil refining, chemical and coal chemical industries, and other heavy energy consuming industries, so as to provide customers with one-stop and overall energy conservation technical solution and service.
The company is specialized in energy conservation service company of Sinopec, and in charge of all the energy performance contracting projects of SEG. It performs the responsibility of Sinopec Energy Conservation Center, undertaking research tasks entrusted by the Country, the industry and the Sinopec Group, and conducting works including standardization research, energy consumption statistics, energy conservation audit, energy conservation assessment, energy conservation technology promotion, low-carbon research, as well as energy system optimization which is an important means to continuously develop and support energy performance contract projects.
The company is a platform for energy conservation technology resources within the SEG, and a professional operating company that expands the energy conservation engineering market, develops and strengthens energy conservation engineering services. Within the Sinopec system, the existing abundant engineering design and technical resources of the SEG are utilized. And the internal marketization principle is adopted to give full play to the synergistic effect and provide technical services to companies within the group. Outside the Sinopec system, the company actively participates in external market competition, and integrates both internal and external resources, as well as actively cooperates with well-known domestic and foreign energy conservation technology and equipment companies, to enhance the company's technical strength, and provide clients with full-field energy conservation assessment, technical consulting, both systematic and single-point energy conservation engineering services, equipment supply, etc.
The company is committed to energy performance contracting application and promotion of Sinopec, and has pioneered in carrying out energy performance contracting demonstration projects in Sinopec. More than 30 energy performance contracting projects have been operated with the capacity of 100,000 tce (ton of standard coal equivalent) savings per year. The company has applicated integrated energy system optimization projects for large-scale refinery and chemical enterprises, such as Maoming Petrochemical Company, Zhanjiang Refinery, Puguang Gas Field, Shanghai Petrochemical Company, Yanshan Petrochemical Company and Yangzi Petrochemical Company, etc. Meanwhile, the company undertakes the research tasks in energy conservation and emission reduction field, and green and low-carbon field which are entrusted by relevant state departments, the petrochemical industry, Sinopec and other enterprises. The company carries out researches involving energy conservation consultation, energy conservation assessment, energy conservation technology promotion, energy conservation training, carbon inventory, as well as research in technical standards and norms, carbon standards, carbon footprint and carbon quota.
