Sinopec Luoyang （Guangzhou） Engineering Co., Ltd.
Founded in October, 1956, Sinopec Luoyang （Guangzhou）Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred as SEG Luoyang) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. It used to be Fushun Design Institute of Ministry of Petroleum Industry, Sinopec Luoyang Design and Research Institute and Sinopec Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. In 2012, the company has completed reorganization of the company system and realize “two enterprise with the same employees” integrated operation together with Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Co., Ltd. Through 60-year development, SEG Luoyang has been the national high-tech enterprise integrated with energy and chemistry technology licenser and engineering contractor. At present, SEG Luoyang has been rewarded with level-A comprehensive design qualification in China and with business field covering 21 industries; and it has been rewarded with level-A certificates of EPC, engineering design, supervision, consultation, environmental influence and assessment, etc. Its business has been expanded to the overseas.
In 1960s, SEG Luoyang completed development and design of the first set of advanced refining devices in China like fluid catalytic cracking, hydrocrack, delayed coking, etc. equipment, etc.; in 1970s, it built the first long-distance refined petroleum transportation pipeline in China -- Golmud-Lhasa petroleum transportation pipeline; while in 1980s, it developed and designed the maximum uniserial refining factory -- Luoyang Petroleum Refining Factory; and in 1990s, it undertook development and design of large projects of the national strategic petroleum reservation warehouse, ten-million-ton sour crude oil processing base, etc. Since the 21st century, it has completed the world first set of DMTO device, the world first MTX device, etc., and it has its own special engineering technologies in regard to atmospheric and vacuum, catalytic cracking, delayed coking, hydrogenation, reorganization, hydrogen production, oil & gas storage with transport, modern coal chemical industry, coal-to-oil, etc. It designed and built 20 MT refining base represented with SEG Zhenhai, Dalian Petrochemical, etc., and created dozens of “national No. 1” prizes. As counted, SEG Luoyang has been rewarded with 50 national S&T progress awards and invention awards, 306 provincial and ministerial S&T progress awards and technical invention awards, 24 national excellent design awards, 113 provincial and ministerial excellent design awards, 46 national and provincial and ministerial excellent engineering rewards, 9 national outstanding EPC golden and silver key awards and 746 domestic and foreign valid authorized patents. It makes great contribution to development and technical progress of refining and chemical industry in China.
SEG Luoyang has been keeping a good cooperation and business communication with the world famous licensers, engineering companies and owners for 60 years. It has completed over 1,000 large-medium-scale engineering constructions all over the country; and it has completed over 100 oversea design, procurement, and EPC projects independently or with cooperation with domestic and foreign engineering companies. The footprint of it has been all over Asia, Europe, Africa, etc.
What’s more, SEG Luoyang owns a high-level team with reasonable major structure, engaging in engineering design, technology development, project management and operation management that are necessary for business development. By the end of 2015, SEG Luoyang has hired the founder of oil refining, catalytic cracking technologies in China and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences --CHEN Junwu, 3 national design masters, 8 design masters in petrochemical industry, 23 specialists enjoying the governmental special subsidy, 56 professor-level specialized technicians, 799 senior specialized technicians and over 450 registered engineers.
In many years, SEG Luoyang has been rewarded the national May Day prize, Top 10 enterprises with independent innovation brands that was selected by China Petroleum & Chemical Engineering Survey And Design Association, National Model Labor Relation and Harmonious enterprise, etc. one by one. In 2012, it was ranked No. 10 of Top 100 China Survey and Design enterprise 2012, No. 16 of Top 60 National engineering design enterprises held by Engineering News Record (ENR) and Construction Times, No. 6 of the Most Powerful EPC design enterprises, and No. 1 of the most beneficial contractor in China 2014. In 2015, it passed the assessment of national high-tech technical enterprise again.
Currently, by facing to the fact that national economy has stepped in a new normal status and challenge of global energy chemistry engineering integration, SEG Luoyang adheres to four development strategies, seizes market opportunity, improves management, actively focuses on R&D of FMTA, MMTP and MTG new coal-to-glycol, atmosphere, water, soil treatment and other emerging fields, largely expands both domestic and international markets, actively cultivates new economic growth points and strive to develop in the new normal status for the purpose of creating the world top 1 engineering company and improving quality and profit of development.
