Project Performance

• Sinopec Changling branch company 1.7 million t/a resid hydrotreating unit, which is one of the only six resid hydrotreating units in China, whose technique tube welding won nationwide excellent welding project award class I;

• Tianjin 1 million t/a ethene unit, which adopted advanced tube factorization prepared management in construction and completed automatic welding of thick-wall tubes, and acquired nationwide excellent welding project award class I and developed state-level work method;

• Guangdong LNG receiving station, in which we installed China’s first 160 thousand cubic meters LNG low-temperature project, developed state-level work method, and won nationwide excellent welding project award class I;

• Tianjin 220 thousand t/a PTA installation, which adopted internationally advanced management method and strict process control. This project won state Luban award;

• Joint venture Sichuan Acetic Acid project Acetic Acid core installation, which won state Luban award;

• Yangtze Petrochemical Corporation Ltd. Expanding 460 thousand t/a PTA installation, which won state excellent project silver award;

• Qingdao oil refinery project large equipment hoisting integration project, which won state-level excellent hoisting project title;

• Huangdao state petroleum conserve basis project crude oil container zone project, Tianjin ethene refinery integration crude oil storing and transporting assembly project South Xinjiang oil container zone project, which won nationwide excellent welding project award class I;

• Lanzhou Petrochemical acrylate and ester project tube welding project, Huaneng Tianjin IGCC project air separation unit, cold container and al-mg alloy welding project, which won nationwide excellent welding project award.

The representative unit manufacturing projects undertaken by the corporation at home and abroad are as follows:

• We provide large coke towers for Sinopec Beihai Branch Company 1.2 million t/a delaying coking unit, Sinopec Qingdao refinery 2.5 million t/a delaying coking unit and CNOOC Huizhou 4.2 million t/a delaying coking unit, and provide acrylonitrile reactor for acrylonitrile projects of such oil refinery and chemical engineering enterprises as Sinopec Anqing Branch Company and PetroChina Jihua Group Corporation.

• The coke tower we manufacture for India Elsa Engineering Corporation Ltd. Expanding project delaying coking unit (9.6 meters in diameter, 41.2 meters long and 400 tons heavy) was the largest coke tower that China produced until then;

• The polythene reactor we manufactured for Zhenhai refinery 450 thousand t/a polythene unit (8.7 meters in diameter, 100 millimeters in maximum wall, 42 meters long and over 490 tons heavy) was the largest polythene reactor that the world produced until then;

• We provide 2.25Cr-1Mo steel hydrogenation reactor and heated high molecular iso-high-pressure hydroforming thick wall equipment for such oil refinery and chemical engineering enterprises as Sinopec Jiujiang Branch Company, Changling Branch Company, Jingmen Branch Company, Guangzhou Branch Company, Zhenhai Refinery and Shanghai Petrochemical and CNOOC Zhoushan Petrochemical;

• We provide desulfurization reactor, desulfurization tower and other core units for such desulfurization environmental protection projects as SZorbM of Sinopec Shanghai, Gaoqiao, Yangste, Anqing, Shijiazhuang and Beihai branch companies, etc.;

• The xylene tower (3,960 tons heavy) we are manufacturing for Hainan Refinery P-xylene project is the world’s largest oil refinery chemical engineering pressure container unit up to now.

We are supplier of such multi-national energy chemical engineering corporations as Exxon Mobil, SABIC, Shell, BP and BASF, and such international engineering corporations as Foster Wheeler AG, Fluor Corporation, Saipem, and CB&I. Our products are successively exported to Saudi Arabia, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, Portugal, etc..

We provide whole-course service ranging from technique package design to driving trial operation for such large and composite projects as 10 million tons class oil refinery project and 1 million tons class ethene project. For instance, we provide EPC service for Hainan 8 million t/a oil refinery project, which is the first 10 million tons class oil project that was built by China and adopted EPC mode since 1990s. Additionally, in the form of overall-contract construction we undertook Qingdao 10 million t/a oil refinery project, the largest oil refinery unit then completed at home and the first single series oil refinery project with 10 million tons class annual output. The Wuhan 800 thousand t/a ethene unit that we undertook was China’s first completely domesticated ethene unit (including all key equipment and techniques). We worked as contractor for Tianjin and Zhenhai 1 million tons class ethene project, building large ethylbenzene, cumene and phenol acetone units.

The corporation has the capability to undertake refinery integration project. For instance, in Fujian oil refinery and ethene integration project, we undertook EPC task for 12 million t/a oil refinery plant, 800 thousand t/a ethene unit and 700 thousand t/a p-xylene unit. We also provided EPC service for Tianjin oil refinery and ethene integration project. Besides, the corporation also masters coal direct liquidation, a world leading technique and coal indirect liquidation and coal gasification, two world advanced techniques. As general contractor, we designed and completed coal direct liquidation unit of 1.08 million t/a product oil output for Shenhua Group in 2008, the first commercial unit in the world to manufacture product oil with coal direct liquidation method, the largest coal-to-oil project at home. We also provided EPC service for Zhongyuan Petrochemical 200 thousand t/a SMTO project, one of the two MTO projects in operation at home and China’s first IGCC COGEN.​​​​​​
