On December 4, Zhang Xinming, President of SEG, led a delegation to Indonesia to strengthen collaboration with key partners, including Pertamina, PTPP (Persero) and WIKA (PT Wijaya Karya), which are the largest construction firms in Indonesia. The delegation also reviewed the operations of SEG Southeast Asia Regional Center and other branches in Indonesia. The visit aimed to further expand the Indonesian market, advance cooperation outlined in the Sinopec-Pertamina Memorandum of Understanding, and drive progress on ongoing projects. By strengthening engagement and follow-up, SEG seeks to solidify the foundation for the high-quality development of its international business. Vice president Wang Guohua also participated in the visit.
Zhang Xinming Leads a Delegation for High-Level Talks with Pertamina Executives
During the visit to Pertamina, Zhang Xinming and his delegation met with Mr. Timoti, Director of the Planning Division, and Mr. Gustino, President of Pertamina Internasional (KPI), along with their joint team. Mr. Timoti provided an overview of Pertamina and its organizational structure, with a particular focus on Pertamina’s recent refining and petrochemical project plans. Mr. Gustino further briefed the delegation on the current status of Tuban refinery project.
In response, Zhang Xinming delivered a comprehensive presentation on SEG’s global operations, highlighting its technical consulting expertise, refinery upgrading capabilities, and advancements in new chemical materials. Both parties had an in-depth discussions on potential areas of collaboration and Tuban refinery project, reached a consensus to enhance communication and deepen cooperation.
Zhang Xinming extended an invitation to Pertamina team to visit Sinopec integrated refining and petrochemical projects in China at an appropriate time.

During the visit to PTPP and WIKA, both are public listed Indonesian construction firms, Zhang Xinming and his delegation held successive meetings with the companies’ senior executives.
Zhang Xinming provided an in-depth analysis of Indonesia’s refining and petrochemical market, introduced SEG’s leadership in the sector and its international project execution capabilities. He reiterated the commitment to collaborating with local partners to jointly develop the Indonesian and regional markets.
The executives of PTPP and WIKA expressed high appreciation for SEG’s expertise, technical strength, and project delivery capabilities. They acknowledged the company’s strong commitment to the Indonesian market and expressed their willingness to pursue mutually beneficial partnerships in future projects.

Recognizing Indonesia as a key strategic market for the company’s future growth, Zhang Xinming emphasized the significant potential of the country’s energy and petrochemical sector. He urged all teams to seize the historic opportunity presented by the Sinopec-Pertamina Memorandum of Cooperation, leveraging the company’s integrated strengths and capabilities. He called for a broad vision and a large-scale, coordinated approach to actively pursue market opportunities and ensure competitive proposal for key projects.
Zhang Xinming highlighted the importance of identifying strategic priorities in the local market, particularly in refinery upgrading, petrochemicals, coal-to-liquid, and new energy industry.
