Recently, Zhang Xinming, President of SEG, met with Satoshi Sato, Vice President of JGC, and his delegation at SEG’s headquarter. Both parties had discussions on collaboration for UAE project and explored opportunities to expand future cooperation. SEG vice president Sun Baoping, along with Wu Jibo and Peng Fucheng, senior executives from SNEI.
Zhang Xinming extended a warm welcome to Satoshi Sato and his delegation, and reviewed the long-standing partnership between the two companies. He introduced SEG’s integrated capabilities, particularly its strengths in technology and management. Zhang emphasized the importance of leveraging complementary expertise and resources to address challenges collectively and achieve mutual success.
Satoshi Sato highly appreciated SEG’s project management capabilities, technical proficiency, and extensive market experience. He was optimistic that the discussions would deepen mutual collaboration in project management, ensure successful project execution and establish a solid foundation for long-term cooperation.
During the talks, both parties conducted a detailed review of Ruwais LNG project in UAE, aligning on strategies to optimize collaboration and enhance project efficiency. After five rounds of intensive negotiations over two days, the two parties finalized an agreement on commercial terms. This project marks the first substantive overseas partnership between SEG and JGC, paving the way for future joint endeavors.
The meeting was also attended by relevant representatives from SEG International Business Department and Operations Management Department, as well as key personnel from SNEI.
