Jiang Dejun, the chairman of SEG, led a delegation on a visit to Italy, France, and Spain to engage with key partners, including TCM, T.EN, and TR.
In Italy, Jiang Dejun and the delegation met with Alisande Bernini, CEO of Miele Group, the parent company of TCM. Mr. Bernini warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the TCM’s engineering expertise, technological capabilities, and advancements in the new energy sector. He also expressed his strong desire to enhance cooperation between the two sides. Jiang Dejun expressed the admiration on Teknimont’s engineering capabilities, particularly its leadership in the global polyolefin industry. He agreed with the proposal to further leverage each party’s strengths to reinforce cooperation in the traditional energy and chemical sectors. Additionally, he reiterated interest in pursuing potential collaborations in technology, new energy, and capital operations. Both sides reached an agreement on the next phase of the Silleno project in Kazakhstan and discussed the framework for establishing a strategic partnership.
During their visit to France, Jiang Dejun and the delegation met with Marc Villa, Chief Business Officer (CBO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Technip Energies (T.EN), along with other senior executives. Technip Energies previously signed a cooperation framework agreement with Sinopec Group, which has since facilitated successful collaborations in countries in the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia. The company recognized the professional expertise of the SEG and expressed its commitment in developing a long-term strategic partnership. The delegation expressed the appreciation towards T.EN’s capabilities in the energy and chemical sectors. Both parties agreed on the need to deepen cooperation by complementing each other’s advantages and fostering an all-encompassing strategic relationship, particularly in technology-driven front-end engineering. Further discussions also emphasized expanding collaboration in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) and broader chemical industries.
In Spain, Jiang Dejun and the delegation met with Eduardo San Miguel, CEO of TR Spain. Mr. San Miguel extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and both sides undertook a thorough review of their 20-year partnership. They reviewed the achievements since the signing of the Strategic Alliance Cooperation Agreement in September of the previous year, which has yielded significant results and established a successful model for international cooperation. The two sides reached a consensus on the next steps to further strengthen their collaboration. As part of the visit, a special meeting was held at TR, where both parties reflected on their cooperation experiences and shared key insights. Leaders from six directly affiliated enterprises that collaborate with TR also participated in the meeting via video conference. Additionally, high-level discussions were conducted to explore future areas of collaboration, strategic directions, and mid- to long-term development goals.
While in Madrid, Jiang Dejun and the delegation visited three EPC projects managed by SEI or GPEC. They met with project teams, reviewed progress reports, and gained firsthand insights into ongoing operations. Jiang Dejun highly commended the dedication, professionalism, and technical expertise of the project staff. He encouraged them to continue their efforts in delivering high-quality projects and showcasing the strength and the image of the SEG on the international stage.
The visit was attended by representatives from the company’s International Business Department, Operation Management Department, Engineering Construction Company, and GPEC.
