SEG was informed of being awarded the RMB 200,000,000 yuan EPCcontract for the soil restoration project of polyether department, Tianjin Petrochemicalon the Notification of Award received by the soil pollution control center ofthe company on June 7.

The soil restoration project of polyether department, TianjinPetrochemical is the first large project in China that deals with petrochemicalpollution site and underground water restoration, with typical restoration characteristicsof a site with petrochemical pollution. The bid competition for the project wasfierce, involving 11 enterprises. The soil pollution control center of SEGfinally won the bid due to great efforts both in preliminary and bid stages. Inthe preliminary stage during the past two years, SEG had kept tracking theproject and done extensive preliminary preparations and the company leadersalso visited Tianjin Petrochemical (the owner) in person for many times. Thebid stage was seriously prepared, including bid preparation and repetitive bidreview, timely deviation correction, well-designed commercial and technicalquotations and quotation simulation.

It’s an outstanding performance of the soil pollution controlcenter to obtain its first large EPC project for soil pollution control, whichmeans that the center has gained an upper hand in similar soil restorationmarket. The project is a significant milestone for the center, which will leavevaluable experience in soil restoration for sites with petrochemical pollution.
