SEG CFO Jia Yiqun attended the HSBC BELT AND ROAD SUMMIT 2018 -ASEAN's Prospect in the New Silk Road held by Hong Kong and Shanghai BankingCorporation Limited (HSBC) on June 8. Together with HSBC leaders and renownedexperts of related fields, he discussed the latest development, future trendand main focus of the “Belt and Road Initiative” and shared the greatopportunities in ASEAN markets and the successful experience of Chineseenterprises in these markets.

Mr. Zhang Wenjie, the vice president and chairman of board ofHSBC, presided a seminar for discussing the successful experience, outstandingpractices and financial solutions with regard to development in ASEAN under thebackground of “Belt and Road Initiative”. During the meeting, Jia shared hisopinions on the relationship with local owners, suppliers, policy-relatedbanks, and the problems and challenges occurring during the implementation ofprojects such as resid hydrotreating project.

The summit has enabled SEG to display its strength and image,expand the communication channels with Chinese enterprises and internationalfinancial institutions, and also get a better knowledge of southeast Asianmarkets.
