Recently, SEG joined in the “Beautiful Village” ConstructionProject at Jiangtun village, Nanshao town, Changping district, Beijing,together with the new energy research institute of China University ofPetroleum, Beijing (CUPB), Junlan Technology Group and design institutesdesignated by Beijing municipal government.
Nanjing Engineering Company is appointed by SEG to undertakethe project. Based on the discussion among related parties, the overallplanning of Changping district government and the actual conditions of Jiangtunvillage, the project will be built as a pilot base aimed for waste disposal andthe energy utilization of agricultural and forestry wastes. Related institutewill also be built as a support. Project phase I is for building a dryfermentation disposal plant for domestic wastes and agricultural and forestrywastes. Project phase II is for building a “new rural energy conservation andenvironmental protection institute” as a means to solicit enterprises.
SEG has been increasing efforts in new energy development, energyconservation and environmental protection in the past few years. It hasdeveloped businesses with regard to the energy utilization of agricultural andforestry wastes (such as dry fermentation disposal) jointly with CUPB. Thisyear, the company has carried out a couple of discussions with CUPB andJiangtun village on the energy utilization of agricultural and forestry wastesin the village, and has conducted site survey and started to providepreliminary services.
Beijing municipal government issued the Implement RuralRevitalization Strategy: Carry Out the Plan for Beautiful Village ConstructionProject (2018-2020) in February of this year, which requires that the spirit of19th National Congress of CPC shall be effectively implemented, theresponsibilities of local governments shall be well fulfilled and capitalinvestment shall be increased so that rural environment improvement can begenerally completed and significant progress can be made in villageconstruction before the end of 2020. Jiangtun village is a suitable area fordeveloping low-density high-tech industry as it’s ideally located in theeastern and western parts of Changping district and the middle part of Shahe higheducation park, which is a green belt in Beijing city. Through project I andII, Beijing municipal government plans to develop Jiangtun village as anintegrated technology industry park combining environmental protection industrypark, sight-seeing experience park, science popularization park, nationallaboratory of environmental technology and international environmentalprotection exchange center. The preliminary plan for the project is underpreparation currently and project construction will begin once the plan iscompleted and approved by Changping district government.
