December 13th to 15th, Vice President of Sinopec Corp. Mr. Ling Yiqun led a team visited eastern and western site of Sinopec Saudi Arabia to pay a visit the employees who work at the first line of Saudi Arabia.

On December 13th, Mr. Ling Yiqun and the team arrived at Saudi Arabia and listened to the work report of Sinopec SA Unit --- Representative Office and SINOPEC Engineering Group and thus learned details of business development of SEG SA units in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. On December 14th, they attended the IKTVA meeting of Saudi Aramco. On December 15th, they visited Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company Ltd. and listened to their introduction and made a site investigation.

After listening to the work report of various units, Mr. Ling Yiqun expressed his heartfelt thanks and sincere respect to all the units for their achievements and hard work when they started up, developed and established business in Saudi Arabia for a long time. He fully affirmed the units in developing business in Saudi Arabia from nothing into something and from small into large in the decade and said that Sinopec now really shaped its business in Saudi Arabia with some scale and earned reputation and it was not easy to get the achievements. On SEG’s work, Mr. Ling Yiqun made positive comments and put forward requirements. Firstly, SEG has achieved outstanding performance and remarkable results, accumulated experience and cultivated talents and now has to strengthen team building. Both achievements and gaps shall be considered, so as to strengthen confidence and enhance capabilities. What shall do is to strengthen the building of legal, tax and other international talent team so as to guard against operational risks. Secondly, sum up experience and consider problems calmly to get on a new level and build its name card. To further make well and orderly connection between Chinese “one belt and one road” strategy and Saudi Arabic “2020 transformation” and “2030 vision”, SEG shall take Saudi Arabic as the base point to make well experience summarization and careful analysis of project implementation experience and lessons and look for ways to expand the market and improve the competitive ability, so as to get on a new level. Thirdly, continue the reform and exert the advantages, so as to escort the building of the “national name card”. SEG has to improve overseas operation and management system and mechanism through system and mechanism changes, so as to build the national name card for refinery chemical projects; and to overcome difficulties, dare to break the rules and exert various business advantages, so as to make refinery projects the pioneer to go out. Fourthly, strengthen HSSE, establish regulations and systems and get a god start of the brand; strengthen local traffic safety management, particularly health management of expatriate personnel, so as to improve employee health concept and ensure their physical and mental health as well as public safety.
