The 2016 Group Meeting on IT Application Work was held from October 11 to 12 at SEG in a bid to convey the purport of the IT Application Conference held by Sinopec Group, implement the work plans of the “13th Five-year Plan for Information-based Development” developed by the Group and hence promote the IT application of SET as a mean to support the quality and efficiency upgrading of SEG. The meeting was moderated by Qi Guosheng, the deputy general manager of SEG and attended by Lu Dong, the vice chairman and party committee secretary of the company, Qi Guosheng himself, members of leadership group for IT application, leaders in charge of IT application work from different affiliates and the head of IT application department.
The main report of IT Application Conference and the keynote speeches of Sinopec leaders were conveyed at the meeting. In addition, the group meeting members also studied important documents, including the “Outline of the Information-based Development of Construction Industry in 2016-2020”, the “13th Five-year Plan for Information-based Development” of Sinopec Group and the “Blueprint for Deep Fusion of IT Application and Industrialization” (“421 Project”) of Sinopec Group, and discussed about SEG’s plans in response to the “13th Five-year Plan for Information-based Development” (exposure draft).
Work experience on the deep fusion of “IT application and industrialization” was exchanged among associate companies and departments, including excellent practice entities such as SEI, and advanced grassroots units such as the information-based management departments of Luoyang Engineering Company, Shanghai Engineering Company and Ningbo Engineering Company. The companies also reported their understanding of the purport of IT Application Conference, how the related work was completed and what solutions were adopted for related problems, and put forward their ideas and suggestions for the IT application of SEG. The PMO of ERP project reported how the ERP and surrounding systems were implemented at pilot entities and related work plans. The heads of major departments and the leaders in charge of IT application also gave speeches with regard to IT application.
Mr. Qi Guosheng pointed that, the meeting contents are very rich, focusing on the Outline of National Information-based Development Strategy, Made in China 2015, “Internet +” Action Plan and tightly centering around the development strategies of SEG. He said, the related departments and entities shall work hard to effectively implement work plans based on actual conditions and strive to promote the fusion of IT application and industrialization to a higher level.
Mr. Lu Dong said that, to speed up the pace of the information construction does not only conform to the development of times, but also be one of important strategic plan for country construction. Under the “new normal” stage, every industry is deeply influenced by information-based development, structure adjustment and power conversion. Either the cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data or the development of telecommunications technology, all have penetrated into every area of life. Big change is happening around us. Under such background, the one who plays a leading role in information-based development will win opportunities, advantages and initiatives.
Mr. Lu also emphasized that, IT application work is very important for upgrading quality and efficiency as well as further reform and development. Therefore, we must make good use of the current opportunity from ERP project construction, adapt ourselves to the “new normal” status and seize more new opportunities. In particular, we shall make full use of information technology to change work mode, optimize business process, consolidate management system, intensify resource sharing, promote reform and innovation and accelerate the pace of information construction of SEG. By this way, we’ll be able to upgrade the overall level of IT application and enhance its efficiency and cultivate the world’s top level informatization capacity, hence helping SEG to achieve leapfrog development and forming a strong support for enhancing the core competitiveness of SEG.
