1 million tons class ethene etc. major petrochemical technique

The petrochemical techniques represented by 1 million tons class ethene have achieved industrialization. The ten sets of production units of Wuhan 800 thousand t/a ethene project that is newly put into production, including 7 sets of ethene, polythene, polypropylene and C5 isolation production units have been developed with independent techniques, which achieved world-class level.

Such techniques as ethene cracking furnace, polypropylene, polythene, cracking gasoline hydrogenation, butadiene, ethylbenzene/styrene, vinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, isopropyl benzene, ethanolamine and granule feed have been successfully industrialized and occupied leading place in Sinopec basic construction. These techniques were fully applied in Fujian ethene replacement and expansion project, a joint venture with EXXON MOBIL, and this demonstrated that the ethene technique entered international stage.

Changling 100 thousand t/a hydrogen peroxide based epoxypropane applied test unit, the first set in China, was successfully put into operation through first feeding trial run. With ethylene oxide R&D mainly completed, Maoming 200 thousand t/a ethylene oxide unit entered into industrial application phase.​
